2015 Acura RDX

The 2015 Acura RDX featured a 273-horsepower 3.5-litre V-6 engine, a 6-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.  The RDX exterior incorporated an aerodynamically efficient body with Amplitude Reactive Dampers and a motion adaptive electric power steering system.

Inside the 2015 RDX, occupants will appreciate an interior design with rich interior materials, utility and generous use of noise insulation. Standard features on the RDX-included leather seating surfaces, heated power front seats, a power moonroof and a 360-watt audio system. Technologies such as an SMS text messaging function, a Keyless Access System with pushbutton start, an Active Noise Control system and a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera system are also standard on all RDX models.

The Technology Package brought RDX owner even more high-tech appointments, including items such as Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition™, an 8-inch LED backlit display, a GPS-linked solar-sensing, Dual-zone automatic climate control system. Acura/ELS Surround® Premium Sound System with hard disk drive (HDD) storage and a power actuated rear tailgate is also included in the 2015 Acura RDX.

The RDX is equipped with a comprehensive array of the latest technologies and designs to enhance active safety (collision avoidance) and passive safety (crash safety performance). Standard features such as Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) with traction control and a 4-wheel anti-lock braking system (ABS) enhance collision avoidance capability in the new RDX.

Key safety technologies included the Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure, a total of six airbags, active head restraints (for the front seats), as well as front seatbelts with an automatic tensioning system. 

The 2015 RDX was produced using U.S. and globally sourced parts by the company’s East Liberty, Ohio plant.

The RDX earned honours and won the 2014 ALG Residual Value Award by delivering the highest projected three-year resale value of any vehicle in the Premium Compact Utility Vehicle category.
